There was some of my leftover BBQ chicken salad from a while ago in the fridge and Josh opens it and smells it and asks me - "can I toss your salad?" I laugh. We laugh. Sometimes living together has its moments.

My stomach is feeling better, but it's not 100%. It gurgled a lot this morning. It was scary. It was like it was playing a song for me - a little ditty to wake me up. I hope it's just a stomach virus that will go away in a bit. Everyone else in my office is getting really sick - serious flu sick. Not good. I hope I don't get it. I haven't had the flu in so long that it feels like I am due to get it anytime now. Yipee!!

I went home this weekend to visit my father and family. I have a love-hate relationship with a few of them sometimes. Its not that I don't want to go home, but I think that if I go often, it will probably have an adverse affect on me somehow. I always argue with one of my sisters (we are so close in age and yet we are so different) but other than that, it's not so bad. I sense a lot of negative energy when she is around and its not necessarily anyone's fault, but she has a tendency to argue with anyone around, unless of course, you're not related to her. She treats her friends so different and I think to myself why that is and wonder if I do the same. I know that we can't choose our family, but for the most part, I get along with them just fine. Sure, we have different opinions on things and see the world differently at times, but that doesn't actually bother me. I love my family and I love my friends and I love Josh. But my sister and I always clash, no matter what. I will have to work on it and I know that I annoy her as much as she annoys me, so I hope that we will argue less in the future. Some people just know how to push my buttons a lot better than others. I guess that's just a part of having siblings. Though I hope that things will get better in the future. My father's health isn't doing too great. His arthritis is getting to him and I think that it has made him question his mortality more and more. I had a good conversation with him and my grandma. They are of another generation and though we sometimes see things differently due to our age gaps, at least we can all agree on what's most important in our lives: family.

I watched The Chronicles of Narnia yesterday and I really liked it. I honestly don't remember the book version since I hadn't read it since grade school, so I am not sure how accurate it was or if they left parts out. But I really enjoyed it. It was entertaining and the effects were excellent, not perfect, but very well done. Jon's studio did the the effects on the lion and I was very impressed. I also saw another movie last weekend called Brick. It's not widely released yet, but its a film noir set in present time with high school kids. Sounds campy, right? It did have it's ridiculous parts in the movie, but I think that overall it worked. It had all of the elements of a classic film noir and it was executed very well. It's a bit confusing in the beginning, but as you start piecing things together, it becomes more clear and exhilarating. I hope that you can catch it in the theaters soon or maybe on DVD in a few months.

I've been behind on posting. I have been working really long hours and I don't think it will let up any time soon, so I am apologizing ahead of time. But it's good work and I like it a lot. I am learning so much still and I am not bored, which is always a good sign. I think that I've been there long enough to know the people there pretty well and the assistants are all around my age, so it's nice to be around them all of the time. We have lots of fun together and it's nice to have happy hours and events with them. But 10 hour+ days are starting to make me exhausted. I just barely did my laundry this week - it's bad when I'd rather buy more underwear to prolong washing the older ones by a few days. I haven't really seen too many people, but I am working on it. I think I was fortunate because these past few weeks were really hard on a lot of my friends as well, whether it be finals or work, etc.

Last Sunday was our monthly brunch at Highland Grounds. That place has the best chilaquiles. We welcomed newcomer James (who is Matt's friend and now works in the same building as me in the development department. He's good fun. Geoffrey was there again because he went out with the boys the night before. He was loud and awesome as always. Last time he pretended to be Lindsay Lohan and only ordered a piece of lettuce. He's good fun too. I am glad that we are all able to meet for brunch once a month. Sometimes that's the only time that I can see my lovely friends. We all have busy schedules and such. Ah, the real world is catching up to us. After brunch, I went over to Matt's place and we played Monopoly. The game lasted pretty much the rest of the day, minus the time that we took out to watch Brick. I was the thimble. I had to give up my property in the end because Matt was a greedy land owner. Boo. Ah well. I was impressed that we actually finished the game.

On Friday night, we went to a screening called Firstlook that was put on by the USC Animation Department. Keren (Tripp's friend) was screening her film there. I had already seen it a few months ago, but Josh and I went to see all of the other films as well. Most were great but there were a few that were...interesting. Overall, it was a great show and we had a good time.

I've been having stomach issues all weekend. I hope that it goes away soon. I don't like my stomach hurting at all - it's the worst.

Happy 30th Tripp. (It's a bit late, I was supposed to post sooner, sorry.) You are awesome and I am glad that we still keep in touch since your move.
