I start class today. It's so weird to go back to school, even though it's only one class. I am totally unprepared. I got a UCLA notebook and a pen and I'm set. I don't even know what to expect. I know that I will have to do presentations and have homework, but I don't know if it's going to be a lot of work. Either way, I know it will be good for me, especially since I am in the industry and it will teach me so much about it. A few of my coworkers are taking it with me, so I am glad that I will have a few familiar faces in the room.
Not too much going on right now. I have been trying to get more sleep, but it's kinda working and kinda not. Some days I'll get 8 hours, some days 5. It's a toss up. I have a lot to do before I go to Modesto this weekend for Loretta's wedding. Mainly errands and whatnot, but I know that I will be exhausted come Sunday night when we get home.
On Monday night, we all went to celebrate Michelle Garrett's (MichGarr) birthday at Electric Karma. The food and company was great, but the service was not so good. They were spending all of their energy on Nicole Richie and her group of friends that were seated next to us. They got there after us and left before us, so their service was way better than ours. I guess it doesn't matter really because that gave me time to catch up with people like Cheyl, Nemika, Daphne, and Badge. I hadn't seen them in so long and I missed them a lot. Everyone lives far away and are busy with their lives, so it was nice to see them all together in one place. Kristy, Kent, and Sumi went as well and it was great to see them too. We need to have a PRO meeting very soon! Anyway, while I was squatting and talking to Nemika, I was laughing really hard and swung my head down and hit her chair in my forehead. It REALLY hurt and it is still bruised today. Everytime I move my left eye, I can feel it. Boo. Anyway, Dre made a yummy chocolate cake and we hung out at the girl's place for a while. Josh and I left a bit early because we had to pick up Lisa and Marty from the airport. It sounded like they had a splendid time on the east coast and were exhausted. I realized that I hadn't seen them for a while, especially Marty, so it was good to at least chat with them on the way back from the airport and hear about their adventures.
Last night, I did nothing and it was nice. I watched shows that I missed on Monday and over the weekend, thanks to our lovely Tivo and started watching the bonus features on the Lost DVD. They have so much footage and extras, it's cool! It's gonna take me a while to watch it all, but it's worth it! I'm bummed that I will miss it every week because of class, but I can always watch it afterwards, which isn't the same, but I guess it will have to do.
The Morning Star fake meat Buffalo Wings are fabulous. Thanks for the recommendation Angela!
