To the UCLA Community:

The water at UCLA is now safe for drinking again, according to the California Department of Health Services and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). You previously were notified not to drink water on campus until early Friday night, due to a leak in a water main at a reservoir near campus. The California Department of Health Services and LADWP have notified UCLA that this matter has now been fully resolved and that the water is safe for drinking.

Yay! We can finally wash our hands again.

So I walked by Roll-Inn (aka Buck Fifty) today and I looked at the prices...$2.98 for an 8' sandwich. Wow. Six years ago, when I was a freshman, we called it Buck Fifty for obvious reasons. Two years ago, we changed it to Deuce and a Quarter, but now I don't know what to call it. The sandwiches weren't bad, especially after a long night of heavy drinking, but the price has more than doubled over the years that I have been here and it's just so sad. Sigh. The Westwood now is so different than it was 3 years ago...it is constantly changing.

I went to the Falling Lizard screening for Josh's animation department. There was a lot of cool stuff that they made in just one weekend. Quite impressive! It was nice to see all of his animation friends all in one room.

I have a feeling that this weekend is going to be fabulous. It's just a feeling in my gut, but I hope it's right.
