I had a very nice and peaceful weekend. I was finally able to sleep for hours and just sit, eat, watch the Olympics and hang out with friends, family and Josh with no real time restrictions. It was so great. When did all of these crazy kids begin qualifying for the Olympics? I remember a few here and there, but I see little girls competing in gymnastics and diving. Even Michael Phelps is only 19 and it’s his 2nd Olympics! It makes me feel unaccomplished in a way, but I do not consider myself “athletic,” so it doesn’t matter to me. I just like playing sports for fun. I hate competition. I guess that’s the main reason why my cousin and I don’t get along in general, but that’s another story for another time.
I went to lunch with Vanessa today and we went to Whole Foods and it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it, EVER. I was surprised because it was 1:00pm and I thought that going that late wouldn’t be too busy, but I stand corrected. Vanessa informed me that Jenni Ito is back from her extended vacation. How exciting! Vanessa has a great knack to enjoy life to the fullest and I think that if we all were like her, we’d be the happiest people in the world. She is pleasant to be around and I am glad that we have lunch regularly. I am hoping that this week goes smoothly with no hang-ups. It’s Alexis’ birthday and Monica will be in town this weekend. I’m so excited because she and I always play phone tag and we haven’t seen each other since we were in DC together last September. Yay! On another note, Angela is in Delaware training for her new job for two weeks, but I hope that they fly by without me being too bored without her. It feels like everybody's life is busier than mine, but I don't particularly care. I like it this way right now. I think I'll go for a walk outside later this evening.
